Terms of service
By using What's The Vibes ("the app") you agree to these terms. They're meant to be readable, not legalese, but they're enforceable.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 21 years old to use the app. The content surfaced is about 21+ nightlife venues and events.
2. Your account
You're responsible for keeping your password and your phone secure. If something feels off about your account — unauthorized access, suspicious activity — email support@whatsthevibes.app right away. One account per person.
3. Your content
Anything you post — clips, captions, comments, recaps — stays yours. By posting, you give us a non-exclusive license to display it inside the app and on our owned-and-operated marketing surfaces (e.g. Instagram reposts of editorial recaps, with attribution). You can delete your content anytime; the license ends when you do.
You promise that what you post is yours to post. Don't upload someone else's clip without permission. Don't film inside private events that have explicit no-photo policies.
4. What's not allowed
- Harassment, hate speech, threats, doxxing, sexual content involving minors. These get the account banned, not just removed.
- Impersonating another person, venue, or party series.
- Posting fake reports — if you say a club is sold out when it isn't, you're feeding bad data into the system. Repeated bad reports cost you credibility and eventually your account.
- Promoting illegal activity, including but not limited to selling drugs, fake IDs, or unlicensed events.
- Scraping the app or its API without written permission.
5. Moderation
We reserve the right to remove content and/or disable accounts that violate these terms or our community rules. We aim to act fast — under 24 hours for flagged content, faster for safety issues.
6. Venues
Venue information (lines, covers, openings, closings) is crowdsourced and updated frequently. We do our best to keep it accurate but we don't guarantee it. Always check the venue's own listing or call ahead for time-sensitive plans.
7. Liability
The app is provided "as-is." We're not responsible for what happens when you go out — that's on you, your friends, and the venues you visit. Drink water, stay safe, watch your drink, get home safe.
8. Termination
You can delete your account anytime (see privacy). We can disable accounts that violate these terms. Banned users can't re-register.
9. Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be communicated in-app at least 30 days before they take effect.
