COMMUNITY · WHAT'S THE VIBES

The floor we want to keep.

What's The Vibes works because the people on it are honest about what's actually happening. These rules exist to keep that real.

Tell the truth.

Don't fake a line, a cover, a sold-out call. Don't say a venue is dead when you've never been. Repeated false reports lose you credibility and eventually your account. The whole product collapses if calls aren't trustworthy.

Don't dox.

Don't post screenshots of someone's profile to call them out. Don't share addresses, last names, or workplaces of other users. Use the report flow instead — it actually works.

No harassment.

Hate speech, threats, sexual harassment of any kind: instant ban, no warning. New York nightlife is for everyone — make this floor reflect that.

Respect the venues.

If a venue says no photos, no photos. If you film inside, get consent from the people you're filming. Bouncers and door staff are doing a job — don't film them in confrontations to score points online.

Credit your source.

If you're recapping a night and someone else's clip moved you, mention them. The scene is small. Receipts get returned.

Don't sell.

This isn't a marketplace. No drugs, no fake IDs, no illegal events. Promoters: if you want to push your night, get verified and run it through the right channels.

Drink water. Look out for each other.

This isn't a content rule. It's a community one. You'll see people on rough nights — handle them like you'd want to be handled. We're all out here together.

How we enforce

Reports go to a moderation queue we triage daily. Three independent reports auto-hide a clip pending review. Bans for severe violations are instant; lesser issues get warnings. If you've been moderated and think it's wrong, email support@whatsthevibes.app — we read every appeal.
